Highlights
We are so excited for this Collaboratory release! It signifies the successful integration of Collaboratory into the HandsOn Connect Cloud Solutions product ecosystem and we are very happy to be here. While most updates and improvements in this release are fairly simple and system-wide, stay tuned for exciting improvements coming your way in 2021. That said, be sure to check out the new enrolled student participation field on Step 4 of the Activity form and the slightly updated Activity view! Thank you for continuing with us on our collective Collaboratory journey.
General Improvements (bug fixes and enhancements)
Activities
Offer a new Course Section field to track the number of enrolled students who are involved with a specific activity
Ensure that fields that should be visible to the public are indicated correctly on the Activity form and are displayed on the Activity view (WEB-8834; WEB-8859; WEB-8883)
Clarify in-system success message for faculty/staff who have just accepted an Activity partnership
Add “Incarceration” as a sub-focus area option under Social Issues
Improve the cursor UI behavior on the activity title field
Courses
Capture and clarify the number of enrolled students participating in the activity with the number of registered enrolled students (WEB-8836; WEB-8857; API-3709)
Reports
Export Administration Reports chart data in CSV format
Administration
Newly created activities can now be featured on the Portal Home page
Improve workflow logic and messaging for moderators and administrators moderating newly submitted Activities that include newly submitted community organizations
The correct create date is displayed in the information modal display for sections
Improved logic and messaging related to the Silence Email Alerts toggle setting
Organizations
Fixed issue that requires reloading an Organization’s view page in order to see partnering activities
Organization phone number now saves to the organization form consistently
Programs & Initiatives
Expanded name field to accept up to 120 characters
Search
Faculty search results count is now displayed
Profile
Courses are no longer displayed on a faculty member’s profile that they are not an instructor on
General
Add South Africa to the Country drop down list
Remove “All” from pagination control
Update Help Center links to new Support Center documentation
Add HandsOn Connect company information to web footer
