Welcome Tour
At any point, you are welcome to view a tour walking you through Collaboratory's navigation. To access the tour, click into your profile's avatar in the top-right corner and select "Show Welcome Tour" in the drop-down.
Dashboard
Your dashboard is your personal workspace in Collaboratory. To access your dashboard, simply click on, or hover over, the dashboard button in top of the left navigation panel. This will expand your dashboard options.
Your dashboard is the launching pad for accessing all of your current content in Collaboratory. This includes:
My Activities: All of the activities you have created, or that have been proxied for you. From My Activities, you can view, vault, edit, submit, or clone activities.
Invitations: All of the content on which you have been invited to take action on (Incoming), or have requested others take action on (Outgoing). From Invitations you can:
Insights: An aggregated view of your Collaboratory data
Note: Insight Reports are only available to faculty and staff with data in Collaboratory.
Account: Update your basic account information (e.g., picture, name)
Institutional Tabs
Clicking on the name of your institution within the navigation pane will open the institutional dropdown and take you to your campus' Collaboratory homepage.
From your institution dropdown, you will have access to a variety of different actions in Collaboratory. This includes:
My Public Profile: Visible to the public. It shows activities, courses, and collaborators with whom you work. You can edit your public profile by clicking "Edit in the upper right corner.
Activities: All of the activities published in your institution's Collaboratory.
Search: Explore your institution’s Collaboratory for activities, partners, faculty/staff, and units by keyword, theme, location, etc. Search to find specific activities or partners working with your institution.
Administrator Tabs
If you are an administrator in your institution's Collaboratory, you will have access to administrator-specific areas.
Content: Take action on all administrative content (e.g., activities, units, members).
Moderation: Review and take action on activities submitted for publication.
Reports: Explore your institution's data via the reports dashboard, either from a 10,000-foot view for quick statistics or craft specific reports (e.g., by unit, focus areas, populations, funding).
Settings: View and edit the settings of your Collaboratory portal.
Vault: Archive (e.g., soft delete) content to remove it from public view.
