Bulk Import Basics: Setting up for Success

Your shortcut to seamless setup!

Updated over a week ago

Ready to kick-start your Collaboratory journey? Bulk importing your institution's core data is one of the first steps to ensure success. Administrators are encouraged to import the following data into their Collaboratory:

  • Institutional units (e.g., schools, departments, centers, offices)

  • Community Partners (e.g., nonprofits, businesses, schools)

  • Courses/Sections

  • Members (e.g., faculty and staff)

Bulk importing isn’t just convenient; it’s essential for a successful setup, ensuring good data hygiene from the start.

The bulk import feature is a lifesaver when setting up your institution’s Collaboratory. Just remember, Units need to be uploaded first, so everything else falls into place smoothly.

While you can upload in phases, getting most of the data in during onboarding can save you a ton of time later. Plus, who doesn't love a good head start? Check out the video for a brief overview of the bulk import process.
