If relevant, one can identify other Faculty and Staff, Institutional Units, Community Organizations, and Institutions of Higher Education collaborating on an Activity.

Step 1: Navigate to Collaborators

  1. To identify additional collaborators, begin entering a New Activity.

Step 2: Identify Faculty/Staff Collaborators

  1. On Step 2 of Activity creation, click Select below Faculty/Staff.
  2. Select an existing Faculty or Staff Member from the modal to identify them as a Faculty/Staff Collaborator. Selecting the bullseye will display that member's institutional profile in a new browser window for quick review.
  3. When you submit the Activity, that individual will receive an email notifying them that they have been associated with your Activity.

Note: If you identify Faculty/Staff Collaborators as part of an Activity you are proxying, the invitations will be queued until the Activity is claimed by the owner and submitted for moderation. Once the owner submits the Activity, the queued invites will be sent.

If you do not see the individual for which you are looking, select Don't see them? Invite to register in the top right corner of the modal.

Provide the name and email of the faculty or staff member you wish to invite and select Invite. This will close the modal and send an email invitation to that individual. Once that individual joins Collaboratory and officially appears in the modal, you will be able to return and add them as a faculty/staff collaborator on your activity.

You can connect multiple Faculty/Staff Collaborators with a single Activity by selecting Add Another Faculty/Staff.

Step 3: Identify Collaborating Units

  1. On Step 2 of Activity creation, click Select below Units.
  2. Select an existing unit from the modal. Selecting the bullseye will display that unit's profile in a new browser window for quick review.
  3. If you do not see the unit for which you are looking, contact your Collaboratory Administrator who populates the units.

You can affiliate multiple units with a single Activity by selecting Add Another Unit.

Step 4: Identify Collaborating Community Organizations

  1. On Step 2 of Activity creation, click Select below Community Organizations.
  2. Select an existing community organization from the modal. Selecting the bullseye will display that organization's profile in a new browser window for quick review.
  3. If you do not see the organization for which you are looking, select Don't see it? Add New in the top right corner of the modal.

If you are entering a new community organization, provide the requested information and select Done. This will close the modal, create the organization, and add it to the modals for others to select in the future.

For each organization you identify as a collaborator, identify the primary contact at the organization with whom you worked, and describe that organization's role in the Activity.

You can affiliate multiple community organizations with a single Activity by selecting Add Another Community Organization.

Once the Activity is approved by a Moderator and published, the primary contacts you identified at each organization will receive an email notifying them of their organization's listing in Collaboratory.

Step 5: Identify Collaborating Institutions of Higher Education

  1. On Step 2 of Activity creation, click Select below Collaborating Institution(s) of Higher Education.
  2. Select an existing higher education institution from the modal. Selecting the bullseye will display that institution's profile in a new browser window for quick review.
  3. If you do not see the institution for which you are looking, select Don't see it? Add New in the top right corner of the modal.

For each institution you identify as a collaborator, identify the primary contact with whom you worked, and the department at the institution in which they reside.

If you are entering a new collaborating Institution, provide the requested information and select Done. This will close the modal, create the institution, and add it to the modals for others to select in the future.

You can affiliate multiple collaborating Institutions with a single Activity by selecting Add Another Collaborating Institution.
