Collaboratory enables Administrators to summarize and visualize data about their community engagement and public service Activities. Be sure to set report filters at the beginning of your query.

Access the Activities Report

  1. Once you have specified the appropriate filters, select the number of activities from the dashboard to access the Activities Report.
  2. The Activities Report summarizes and aggregates all categorical data collected via Activities.
  3. Select any tile to drill into an intermediary chart or table data. Some tiles may have additional drill down levels available, but each chart will ultimately result in table data filtered for your specific query.

For example, selecting the Institutional Outcomes tile will result in the following chart:

Selecting a bar within the chart will result in table data for that specific bar only. For example, selecting the bar for Student - Civic knowledge, Expected will provide a table data for all Activities where that option was selected. To navigate back to a previous view, use the back button within the report to maintain your query.

Accessing the Course Report

The Course Report results in a grid view that summarizes and aggregates all course data that is connected to published activities.

Select any tile within the grid to drill into an intermediary chart or table data.  Some tiles may have additional drill down levels available, but each chart will ultimately result in table data filtered for your specific query.

For example, selecting the Course Pedagogies tile will result in the following chart:

Selecting a bar within the chart will result in table data for that specific bar only.  For example, selecting the bar for Project or Community-based/Experiential Learning will provide a table data for all Activities where that option was selected.  To navigate back to a previous view, use the back button within the report to maintain your query.
